What insurance programs do you accept?

Bitterroot Drug accepts and bills all prescription insurance plans, including Medicare Part D Plans and Medicaid. Simply present your insurance card at the pharmacy on your first visit; Bitterroot Drug will bill your prescription insurance for payment.

Prefer to pay cash, or have a co-pay? We offer competitive cash pricing on all prescription medications. If your plan requires a co-pay, most co-pays are the same amount at any pharmacy.

I can’t afford all of my medications. Can you help?

We have several options for patients who cannot afford their medications. First, we may review your prescriptions to learn if a less expensive alternative or generic formula may be available. We can also connect you to the 340B Discount Program —a Federally funded program offered in conjunction with Bitterroot Health and Sapphire Community Health to provide discounted brand name prescriptions regardless of patient’s income level.  This program saves diabetics, asthmatics, and other individuals with health conditions thousands of dollars each year. Ask about it at your next visit.

I’m feeling overwhelmed about choosing a Medicare Prescription Plan. Can you advise me?

Turning 65 and not sure which Medicare Prescription Plan is right for you? The pharmacist consultant at Bitterroot Drug uses your prescription history to explore all available options in order to find a plan that best meets your needs and your budget. Call to schedule an appointment within 3 months of your 65th birthday or between the months of October and December.
